Justine W. Young is the CEO and co-founder of Margay Tech, LLC, a company dedicated to developing accessible, AI-driven technology solutions. With a Master of Public Health from the University at Albany, Justine’s career began at the crossroads of public health, epidemiology, and social impact, focusing on enhancing technological connectivity in underserved regions. Her early work included significant contributions to refugee health services and leading the technical outreach for a collaborative international research conference with the Ministry of Health in Guyana. This project used technology to unite communities and address public sector needs and community mental health initiatives.
Inspired by these experiences, Justine founded Margay Tech to bridge healthcare and social automation gaps, emphasizing scalable, cost-effective, and user-friendly platforms. Her commitment extends beyond her company as she continues to form impactful collaborations to improve education and healthcare in Guyana. As a research investigator at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, her work on data-driven research has propelled her passion for developing practical AI tools that are both effective and easy to implement.
Our CTO, Steven Young, brings over 20 years of experience in software engineering, having worked at leading tech companies like Google and Facebook. Since 2019, Steven has focused on leveraging technology to solve public sector challenges, collaborating with the New York City Mayor’s Office. As the President, CTO, and Co-Founder of Margay Tech, he has developed platforms that support school districts in adopting high-quality instructional materials and connecting state and local education leaders with essential tools and services. His expertise in low-code techniques ensures flexible and rapid implementation to meet the evolving needs of clients.
Steven has a proven track record of using technology to enhance accessibility to government services, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. As an NYC[x] Innovation Fellow and a consultant through the US Digital Response, he focused on multilingual, accessible, and responsive web development. He also served as the web and technology lead for U.S. Congressman Jamaal Bowman.
Steven Young held key engineering roles at two of the world’s leading tech companies. At Facebook, he served as an Engineering Manager, leading teams across iOS, Android, and AI initiatives. He spearheaded a data mining team that applied advanced machine learning techniques to drive user growth and create personalized experiences. As a Machine Learning Engineer, he worked on optimizing large-scale systems, data migration, and developing AI-powered social media algorithms focused on understanding user behavior. Prior to Facebook, Steven spent six years at Google, where he specialized in search ranking algorithms, handling massive data sets, and refining distributed systems.
Steven holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University.
